The Ranger Camp visit on 16
February 2010 combined visitors from Alabama, Georgia, Jacksonville and
Pensacola areas. As usual with these leader visits, we had a Command
Briefing from the 6th Ranger Training Battalion who was our host for the
day, followed by the snake show provided by Ranger Cadre and followed by
lunch in the Ranger Dining Facility hosted by Mike Ferguson. We then
trucked to the Yellow River water training area and visited the Ranger
candidates as they trained on River Crossing techniques and Kodiak assault
boats. As all noted, we observed the best and finest of our Nation's
youth training to defend our Country against all enemies. The day ended
by both the Jacksonville and Montgomery Recruiting Battalion Commanders
providing mementoes to all attendees and the Ranger Cadre and LTC Seifert
giving the 6th RTB Coins to all attendees.
