We were fortunate to also see 40 soldiers from 19 countries take the oath as
new citizens and lots of heroes and supportive family members recovering
from wounds of every nature.
The naturalization ceremony held at Ft Sam Houston by the local Federal
Judge, and a shot of some of the terrific equipment inside the Intrepid
Center. |

We are so fortunate to have these brave soldiers. We were fortunate, at Ft
Hood, to be flying out at the same time a Brigade of the First Cav was
leaving on a C-5 and 747 for Iraq. All 60 of us moved down onto the tarmac
and shook the hands of each soldier departing and gave them our heartfelt
best wishes. We left, as always, with an even greater recognition of
their sacrifices since most had been deployed at least two times.
