New host for  "Your Turn" talk program on WEBY 1330 AM

The program lets callers express their feelings about the full range of hot news topics from city hall to the halls of Congress. It airs 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays.

"We rotate hosts in that time slot because listeners enjoy a variety of opinions rather than listen to the same old voice, muttering the same old things, day after day," explained Make Bates, WEBY's owner.

He added that putting together a rotating schedule of hosts ensures Santa Rosa and Escambia counties are equally represented through the hosts, guests, and topics.

"Our new 25,000-watt signal area covers both counties like a blanket," he added. "We end testing next week and expect FCC approval towards the end of May to broadcast at that power permanently. Our rotating host format reflects our commitment to truly be all of northwest Florida's talk radio station."

The official pattern on file with the FCC shows WEBY's signal covering the entire Gulf Coast between Dauphin Island and the western edge of Okaloosa County, north about 10 miles into Alabama's Escambia County.

The lineup by day of the week is:
Mike Bates on Mondays,
Renee Giachino and Jim Ross rotating Tuesdays,
Terry Gross on Wednesdays,
Kenneth E. Lamb on Thursdays, and
Bert Oram hosts Fridays.
