The MoveOn organization held a massive gathering in Pensacola on Thursday
(8/07/08) to show their power in local politics. The organization's local
members gathered to present their petition for the national Democrat
policy against any future American oil and gas exploration.
The masses started arriving about 11:45 in their air conditioned
automobiles with large on board supplies of bottle water. They were very
well behaved, most likely because they had to stand in 95 degree
temperatures waiting for the multitude to eventually get organized into
one cohesive body.

The appointed time of High Noon came and passed as the organizers
decided to wait for a few last minute stragglers who might be tied up in
the massive traffic congestion around Congressman Jeff Miller's office.
Someone suggested that the sheriff should have provided better traffic
control, until another individual said that it was the City of Pensacola's
responsibility.
At approximately 12:30 the multitude started to move toward the
Congressman's office to present their petition of at least 250 names out
of the quarter million residents of the First District. This author will
let the reader calculate the enormous percentage of Northwest Florida
residents that supports this Democarat and MoveOn's effort.
Congressman Miller was not at his local Pensacola Office, but visiting
with the troops in Iraq. His office manager, Tiffany Bates, thanked the
leader of the assembled multitude for their efforts, and told them that
she would personally make sure that the Congressman received their massive
petition.
This single demonstration shows how strong MoveOn.org is in Northwest
Florida. It is time we all got on board with the Democrat's plan for
lowering the price of gas! |
